A year after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit investor fraud, Connecticut hedge fund manager and former A.I.G. trader David A. Bryson, has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison.

The top watchdog lawyers at FINRA and the SEC spelled out their 2015 enforcement focus last week at a meeting with securities defense attorneys, warning the group that they expected to bring more cases against broker-dealers for their roles in violations of the direct market access rules.
