A Southern California based green-tech automotive company has been qualified by the Securities and Exchange Commission to raise $22 million through a Tier 2 Regulation A+ offer. Adomani tapped a local California broker-dealer focusing on the Reg A market, Boustead Securities, to sell 4,400,000 of common stock at $5 per share with a $500 minimum investment.
The SharesPost 100 Fund, a closed-end fund that invests in late-stage venture-backed companies, tripled its assets under management and reported a cumulative total return of 3.75% for 2015—almost triple the return of the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index, although slightly less than the return of publicly traded tech stocks as tracked by the Dow Jones U.S. Technology Index.
In what appears to be the final blow to an unusual strategy of investment in pre-IPO companies, closed-end fund BDCA Venture Inc. (Nasdaq: BDCV) said its board approved the termination of its investment advisory agreement.
